страх. перестрахование (на базе) эксцедента суммы [на основе эксцедента сумм\] (форма пропорционального перестрахования, при которой перестрахователь устанавливает предельную сумму, в рамках которой он готов принимать на себя риск по страховым договорам ("собственное удержание", "линия"), и по отдельным страховом договорам в перестрахование одному или нескольким перестраховщикам передается сумма, превышающая определенный перестрахователем лимит; при этом в соглашении с перестраховщиком предварительно согласовывается объем участия перестраховщика, устанавливаемый как определенное количество линий, напр., 9 линий будут означать, что объем участия перестраховщика равен 9 долям собственного участия страхователя; соответственно, если сумма страхового договора меньше установленного лимита, то перестрахование не осуществляется)
